Crash Bandicoot is The Best

A legendary game series for children and beyond. If you do not know what to buy and download on your child’s PC, then Bandicoot will help you.

The character himself is a mutated Oriental striped bandicoot who got his humanity under the effect of Evolvo Ray’s device. Slightly dumb because of the unfinished mutation process. Throughout the series, his nemesis is Dr. Neo Cortex, the same man who experimented on him. Wanting to make Crash the leader of his mutant army, the doctor makes a fatal mistake during the experiment, which results in a huge problem in the form of a small mutated beast that constantly thwarts his insidious plans.

So here’s a list of Crash Bandicoot games you can play:

Crash Bandicoot (1996):

It would hardly surprise anyone that the very first Crash game is still one of the best in the series. The first Crash Bandicoot was Naughty Dog’s console debut and one of the iconic games on the PlayStation. Few games could reach the heights of Crash Bandicoot with its quirky character, clever platformer mechanics, and a fun story that even children could understand.

The gameplay was also very good. And even if it is not without some problems, which were eliminated in the sequels, against the background of the product as a whole they are minor flaws. Everything shines with high quality and elaboration, which in the future will make Naughty Dog famous and give rise to a fantastic series.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (1997):

We are convinced that the second part of Crash Bandicoot is the best in the series. Cortex Strikes Back surpassed the first part so much that it became a near-perfect platformer. The gameplay is so restrictively woven into the story that many players were drawn in from the beginning to the end of the game, and a little after.

In addition, players can choose their own level of immersion in the game. There are gems to be found in the world (harder to get than crystals), and some of them require surviving a deadly challenge or finding a carefully hidden secret.

The depth of the game was unheard of for its time, and all the elements of the mechanics come together so nicely that the second installment is rightfully the best in the Crash Bandicoot series.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (1998):

Crash Bandicoot: Warped looks like the culmination of all that Naughty Dog has created in their trilogy, and the perfect conclusion to the series. In the game, Crash goes to different times that are very different from each other. Add to this the battles with stellar bosses, very high quality gameplay and beautiful graphics, and you have a great platformer.

Among the disadvantages of the game are not very convenient controls in some levels with machines and small number of secrets. But that will hardly stop true fans.

Crash Team Racing (1999):

Tired of platformers, Naughty Dog decided to create the latest Crash game. The result is Crash Team Racing, inspired by the Mario Kart series. Despite its slight secondary, Crash Team Racing has enough unique findings (both in terms of mechanics and graphics) that make it one of the best kart races in its own right.

If there are any shortcomings in this game, it’s the sheer difficulty of unlocking secret characters (of course, if it’s absolutely impossible, you can use cheats). But this does not make Crash Team Racing any less brilliant. Competing on the racetrack with all the stars of the series is just insanely fun and fresh enough, unlike a similar series with the famous Italian plumber, which at times goes too far.

Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy (2017):

After a long pause, the Crash Bandicoot series is back. Vicarious Visions did a great job of reviving Sony’s great marsupial beast, and they achieved great results.

Although this game is often marketed as a remaster, to call it that would be a serious understatement. Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy effectively re-creates the first three games with new graphics and minor improvements.

What’s the best thing here? They’ve kept all the things they loved about the original games. But what’s even more impressive is that the format Naughty Dog created so many years ago still looks decent and proves that at their core, the first three Crash games are really very high-quality platformers.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (2020):

Crash Bandicoot fans have been waiting for its rebirth – more than twenty years after the release of the third installment, the fourth installment, subtitled It’s About Time, has been released. No more spin-offs or sequels, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a big game about the adventures of Crash and his friends. From the original trilogy the game is distinguished only by the developer’s name – the new game was created not by Naughty Dog, but by the Toys For Bob studio, that has been existing since 1998.

Crash Bandicoot 4 takes players on a journey between dimensions: the villain Cortex escaped from a time trap and began to wreak havoc, threatening many worlds. Crash and Koko must stop him by using quantum masks that can be used to influence reality. At the same time, new names were added to the list of playable characters, including the antagonist Neo Cortex.
